Melissa is a Lima native who graduated from Lima Central Catholic in
2001. After high school she attended The Ohio State University in Columbus and
received her Bachelor’s Degree in 2005 with a double major in Anthropology and Criminology. While attending The Ohio State University, Melissa stayed active in the community by becoming a member and secretary of Circle K, Romophos Honors Cub member, participating in the Womens’ Glee Club and Ladies First Women’s ensemble. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree, she worked at the Office of Randy L. Reeves Co., L.P.A. as a Legal Assistant and decided to continue her education by attending Law School. Melissa R. Sherrick received her Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University in 2014 and was admitted to the Bar in November, 2014. She is also admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts of Northern and Southern Ohio. Melissa remained very active throughout her graduate school attendance by coaching high school students in preparation for mock trial competitions through the Street Law Organization. She was also a treasurer for the Veteran’s Association, a secretary and member of the Legal Association for Women, and was an intern at the ONU Legal Clinic. Melissa is married to Christopher Sherrick of Lima, Ohio and has two daughters and two sons. Her primary areas of focus are Family Law including Divorce/Dissolutions, Child Custody and Child Support, Will and Power of Attorney preparation, Estate Planning, Probate, and Bankruptcy for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

Randy L. Reeves is Board Certified – Consumer Bankruptcy Law – The American Board of Certification
Randy graduated from Ohio Northern University and was admitted to
practice Law in the State of Ohio in June of 1980. He is also admitted to practice
in the Federal District Court of Northern Ohio, Southern Ohio, the Federal
District Court of Central Illinois and is a member of the U.S. Supreme Court Bar.
His main area of practice is Bankruptcy Law. Mr. Reeves has held a certification as
a Consumer Bankruptcy Specialist since August 2004 and is Board Certified from
the American Board of Certifications in the realm of Consumer Bankruptcy.
Randy is married to Kathryn Reeves of Lima, Ohio and together they have four
children, Jennifer, Amy, Melissa and Jonathan and 13 grandchildren.

Philip F. Germann is a local attorney who attended Bethel College majoring in Information Technology
Management. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach,
Virginia in 2014. He and his wife moved back to Ohio to be closer to family where he is licensed to
practice. He is a proud father of three boys and volunteers his time with their extracurricular activities
including soccer and baseball.
Philip began his law career at the Lima City Prosecutor’s Office, transferring to the Allen County
Prosecutor’s Office and recently joined our firm in 2021. He is a wonderful asset to the office where his
main practice involves family law working closely with the Domestic and Juvenile Courts. He is also a
Guardian Ad Litem, Court appointed for children to look after and protect their best interests.

Randy L. Reeves began his law practice in a family-owned business and he has continued that course in his practice today with his youngest daughter, Melissa R. Sherrick joining the firm in 2014. His oldest daughter, Jennifer Schum, has worked for him in excess of 25 years as the office administrator. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University. His other daughter, Amy Chontos, came into the office in 2009 and helps maintain a friendly rapport with our clients while answering phones and maintaining calendars at the front desk. Randy’s daughter-in-law, Keri Reeves, has been with the office for more than 7 years and works as the legal assistant for Melissa Sherrick and Philip Germann. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Ohio Northern University in 2011. A longtime family friend Pamela Everett has recently joined the office as a part time secretary for Melissa Sherrick and Philip Germann. The employees of Reeves and Sherrick Co., LPA are Notaries and have years of experience in the legal profession.
